Aaliyah Dana Haaughton rose to fame after releasing the album she dubbed Age Ain't Nothing More Than an Number in 1994. At the age of 15 years old, the album earned Gold recognition. R. Kelly heavily influenced this collaboration, and helped to bring her up to the top of the charts. The year 1996 saw her release her sophomore album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. The album contained the hit number one track If Your Girl only was aware. The second album of Aaliyah, One in a Million, was released in 1996. It contained the number-one smash single, If Your Girl Only Knew. Aaliyah was a part of the legendary Jet-Li, the famous martial artist in Romeo Must Die (2000) which was an action-packed romance film. Joel Silver, film producer and director of the film Romeo Must Die caught her at an awards ceremony. In 2002 she was part of the film vampire Queen of the Damned based on the Anne Rice book. In 2003, she starred in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. In 1999, 2001, 2002, and 2003 the singer was nominated for four Grammy Awards. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. She is the first generation Indian-American to be from Connecticut. The stage name Mann is an abbreviation for her marriage name Mankad. Aarti is a combination of Aarti Majumdar and Aarti Munn as her professional names. While she started out with minor film and TV parts, her acting career began becoming more popular in the turn of the century. Alongside The Big Bang Theory, the other shows she has starred in are Leverage (2013) Suits (2014) as well as Grey's Anatomy (2017.) She's also appeared in major commercials featuring brands like Volvo, an international auto maker. She is currently working on her acting career with her home in Los Angeles, where she lives with her daughter and husband.
